Bill has just gone into hiding because his new DI has the hatchet out for him over the review. In case you want to know he's hiding in Dead Wood and Night Watcher. He thinks he's safe there because DI Rawlings doesn't appear until Book 3 of the Dundee Crime Series, and it's not pulished yet.
