The New Me!

It's been a long time since I've written on my blog, but believe you me I am back with a vengeance.

I've had a makeover, lost a few pounds and despite being sixty six, I feel like a young woman all over again. So if you are down in the doldrums, wearing you pearls and a twin set, take my advice, ditch them. Then step out to one of those trendy older woman's shop, open your purse and treat yourself to a new look. And whilst your at it, give the hairdresser a call too. It won't hurt either to pop into Boots and get one of the girls in white to give a few tips on makeup, they even plucked my eyebrows.... what next I ask myself?

Well, I can actually tell you, what is next, I've landed myself a job, not any old job mind, I've been asked to interview celebrity authors and their characters from Famous Five Plus. Do you have any idea what a boost that has been to me, I'm spinning with it all. Though, I'm not into the kind of interview where you tell me what you want me to hear, no that will most certainly not do. I'm into cutting to the chase. Digging deep and searching out those little snippets that you'd rather stay hidden! I'm going to enjoy every minute and you can be certain my interviews will be revealing and if possible scandalous too!

I've already written up my first interview, a detective sergeant no less, he wriggled a bit when I got down to the nitty gritty, but I had him talking in the end. The interview is scheduled to go out this week on the Famous Five Plus site, I'll let you know as soon as it does.

That's it for the moment, I'm off to find my sherry bottle for a wee tipple! Nothing like something to celebrate.... cheers!

  1. Nice to meet you, Peggy. I look forward to some salacious gossip. By the way can't you do something about the Facebook Captcha, I had to have 3 attempts. Maybe I should borrow your specs they're probably better than mine.

  3. Peggy, I love it! Good on you, girlfriend! I'm a month away from turning 50 and I'm feeling kind of low since my evil ex dumped me last year; so it's very refreshing to read the intro to your blog.

By the way, let me know if you'd like to meet my protagonist, Mia Ferrari, she's a feisty, wannabe investigator chick, and she's 48!

Looking forward to hearing from you,
